 The
Beauregard Youth Choir was set up in January 2009 by Vicki Beauregard, a
Cheltenham based singing teacher. The choir is made up of around 35 pupils who
have private lessons in her singing school. Vicki felt that it was important for
her singers to learn about being in a choir in addition to their solo work and
to learn about part singing, harmony and team work, but most of all how much fun
it is to make music in an ensemble. The choir has competed in the Cheltenham
Festival of Performing Arts for the past two years on Choral Day and has won all
of their classes and were awarded the “Best Youth Choir Overall” prize two years
running. They recently competed at National level and took the title “Runner Up
Good Housekeeping Choir of the Year 2010”.
